How to make wind electricity You are at the right place at the right time sitting there reading this article on how to make wind electricity.

Now, this might take some folks by surprise and the topic of how to make wind electricity has been around for thousands of years I know that might seem like a wild thought though if you were to check in to studies of anthropologists in ancient civilizations, they have actually found that there were civilizations is that used some type of renewable energy particularly wind energy because it was so easy to harness.

This might be a surprise to you that there have been technology that has been around or a very long time and it is hard for us to believe because of our high tech way of living. Come to think about it the technology that we are using today for fossil fuels, is it really going to last forever? And the ancients had a way to create energy with out fossil fuel. So maybe we need to change our paradigm. I know this is a very thought-provoking subject and let’s get back to how to make wind electricity.

While you are thinking about this topic you might want to also realize on the subject of how to make wind electricity that you can now take advantage of this money saving system with very little time energy and effort and no time you’ll be having your own free energy. I know that would be amazing right?

The question might be how do I transform this wind energy that is already around me? This might be more effective for you it are living in an area that has reasonable wind velocity, probably about 10 to 20 mph. Imagine harnessing the energy from the wind and making electricity.

It is perfectly okay if you are living at a region data has marginal wind access, some folks what they do when they live in a region like yours is combine solar panels. As a matter of fact depending on your wind velocity you can save up to 80% and maybe even 100% on your utility bills. I know what you are thinking that would be cool.

When you are doing more research on how to make when electricity you are going to discover that it is the smart thing to do, not only for yourself but for the planet.

So I invite you to do more research on how to make wind electricity.

Did you know a growing number of folks are making the change to alternative energy like <noindex>how to make wind generator</noindex> to solar panels. It is fantastic that more folks are taking control. Download your free ebook right now.

If you want to don a cape and become a masked crusader to create a better world for tomorrow, no better role could you pick than “Solar Power Myth Buster.”

Hang on, though. Before you grab that cape and head out, here are a few solar power facts to arm yourself with:

Myth #1: Solar power is too expensive. Before you allow anyone to cling tenaciously to that belief, ask them if you can schedule an appointment for a solar power installation appraisal for them. Tell them you would never try to dissuade them from believing what they choose, but if they’re willing to allow an open discussion, you’d like them to be assured that their belief is right before they share it with others…or worse yet…possibly keep them from having clean, free power because they attached too strongly to an old, rigid belief system. Tell them the appraiser will help them assess:

What is the cost of a traditional heating, air conditioning system and hot water heater today compared to a solar installation?

What does a unit of natural gas, oil, coal, or other fossil fuel cost, and what is the per-watt price for electricity in their area today?

On average, the costs of coal gas and oil (power plant sources for generating electricity) have gone up 5.5 percent per year since 1970. If you know your per watt or per unit price for energy today, what will it be in the next 5, 10, 15 or 20 years? With a solar power system, especially if it is off the grid, it will most likely be…free.

What is the guarantee on your conventional home power system equipment? Most of today’s standard furnace, air conditioning systems, and hot water heaters are guaranteed to last for 10 years. Solar components are guaranteed to last between 25 and 30 years.

Can you get tax credits, incentives and rebates when you install a fossil-fuel conventional system? You can if you have a solar installation.

Myth #2: I’ll have to have a conventional system in addition to a solar system because we don’t always have sunshine. Yes, this is a possibility. You may require a small back-up system. But…it’s not an absolute. Both Germany and Japan have very days of sunshine than most areas in the United States. And, they have a larger reliance on solar energy. It is possible, if you live along the northern tier of the United States that you might require more solar panels to produce the same amount of energy that would take fewer panels in the Southwest, but you could still get the same result. Plus, with a back-up battery system, you should be able to generate enough electricity to function for several days even when it’s very cloudy.

Of course, there are other options for a back-up also like a wood stove, or a wood insert in a passive solar stone fireplace design, or even better, a wind turbine…another renewable energy source.

Myth #3: I’ll have to reduce my energy consumption. Don’t totally dispel this myth, because it’s a good idea. We could all benefit from a little energy management, and learn to consume less. In fact, we could all start down that path by turning off lights and computers when they’re not in use, switching to CFL light bulbs, and other small energy reduction steps. But you don’t have to. The difference is how much money you want to spend up front. Yes, a bigger solar system will cost you more money. You’ll need more panels, more batteries, and more inverters. However, you know that big utility bill you have now because you’re a big electric consumer? You won’t have that, and it won’t go up 5.5% a year, year and year. Once you’re system’s paid for, your energy is free. And instead of getting bigger, your carbon footprint’s getting smaller. How good is that?

Myth #4: My home value will be reduced, and the aesthetics ruined with solar panels on my roof. Actually, the truth is just the opposite. Your home value will increase with a solar energy system…quite a lot in fact…and it will sell faster. Now if you have a solar hot water heater on your roof, it may be unappealing for some people, and for a few, even the solar panels may not be pleasing. They’re in the minority, though, and, with the latest technology, solar panels shaped like roof tiles ensure even the most discerning eye will find a pleasant, and valuable rooftop.

Myth #5: What’s keeping solar popular now is government incentives. It won’t be around once the incentives aren’t. Simply not true. Solar power is staying. Its time is right, and its time is now. Global warming is creating the impetus for a strong citizen movement that won’t relent, and won’t give up, until future generations have an opportunity to see a bright, clean world.

<noindex>Renewable energy sources</noindex> don’t come much cheaper than solar powered and in most locations, all-year-round sunshine will give you several options to utilize this: try these great solar investments…

1) The greatest demand for your home’s energy comes from water heating and the simplest ways to provide this heating come from solar power.

You will nearly always require an alternative energy source for cloudy periods and the harsher winters, and for this combination systems of wind and solar power are a worthwhile investment.

2) <noindex>Photo-voltaic cells</noindex> producing electricity from solar energy are still prohibitively expensive for the average home user.

That said, if you’re as concerned about your impact on the larger environment through your energy use as in reducing your utility bills, there are solar power systems available that can produce up to 2 kilowatts of electricity.

So, for an investment of $15,000-$20,000, you get about a third of the average home’s electricity needs from the solar panels.

Payback will be over decades not years, but with technology improving all the time and prices dropping as production increases, this form of electricity generation is already on a par with oil based plants.

Many people now use solar power lights in their gardens. The lights are charged during the days and give off their light at night. However, such lights do not put out enough wattage to be of use indoors.

3) For solar pool heating there are several options and the simplest is to cover the pool with a thermal insulation unit which prevents heat loss and evaporation.

4) The higher tech option is to add a solar collector into the current filtration system your pool uses. Between the filter and the return to the pool a solar panel can be installed to heat water on the way back.

Sounds simple and it is. In fact, with a few raw materials from the hardware store, the average DIY enthusiast can adapt their current system in a matter of hours.

5) A home solar powered oven is still a thing of the future but DIY cookers to replace the gas fired barbecue are simple and cheap to make.

In fact if you are prepared to wait for hours, roasting and baking boxes can be constructed for next to nothing.

Hikers can carry lightweight cookers for heating water in the wilderness without the risk of fire and as a project to demonstrate the power from the sun, this is one thing the whole family can be involved in just for fun.

Using solar power should be seen as a way of making yourself more self-sufficient. yes, it can cut the cost of your utility bills but using it means you also have the option of having your own electricity on tap should the main power grid fail for some reason.

Discover what <noindex>Solar Installation</noindex> options are available to you. <noindex>Using Solar Energy</noindex> is easier than you think!

Wind turbines are devices that enable extraction of power coming from the wind. You should know those windmill and wind turbines are diverse from one other. A windmill uses mechanical power while wind turbine alternatively converts mechanical energy into electrical energy.

You may wish to create a wind turbine but befor that, you ought to realieze that wind turbines should be located in a spot where there is really a constant higher wind speeds. You may require wind resource assessment for you to check the estimated amount of power which you anticipate to construct a wind turbine. Estimating the amount of energy it will create will make you anticipate additional measures to increase and fix how you will construct a wind turbine.

Quantitative measurement of wind energy in any place offered could be made possible using the WPD or Wind Power Density. It serves to calculate the mean annual offered energy per square meters of a specific swept area your wind turbine and that is going to be tabulated in different heights above the ground.

Finding out if wind speed is sufficient in your area is an important part of wind turbine generation. You must consult wind maps and think about obstructions inside your location that may possibly reduce your wind speed. Otherwise, your turbine might be useless.

To build a wind turbine, there are wind turbines that may be rotated either horizontally or even in vertical axis as well. Nevertheless, the horizontal axis wind turbine is the most popular one. You might want to compare the difference of the two initial prior to you build a wind turbine.

A horizontal axis wind turbine has a variable of blade pitch that serves the wind turbines blades an optimum and precise angle of attack. It also enables the angle’s assault be adjusted for greater control. Hence, to construct a wind turbine, you’ll collect the highest wind energy amount for a particular season or day.

A tower base which is tall should permit better access to more powerfull winds in positive wind shear sites. In some wind shear sites nevertheless, wind speeds improve up to 20 to 34 percent in strength output in every 10-meter elevation. To construct a wind turbine, high effectiveness blade will always move in the wind’s perpendicular direction so as to receive energy in the complete rotation.

To build a wind turbine that’s on a vertical axis, alternatively, will involve different kinds of reciprocated actions that may typically lead to lower efficiency of the wind turbine. The horizontal axis’ blade struck the wind with a consistent angle in any position or rotation.

If you want to save yourself a ton of cash while also doing your bit to “save the planet” then you need to do yourself and the earth a big favor and <noindex>purchase Earth4Energy</noindex>. Why? Because it’ll provide you with all of the necessary info to build your own solar panels or windmill.

<noindex>Earth4Energy</noindex> provides step by step instructions on constructing solar panels and windmills. Whether you decide to build solar panels or windmills is up to you, but depending on where you call home one or the other of these choices may make more logical sense.

Of course if you live in a really sunshiny place such as Austin, Texas then you will probably need to go the solar way. But if you live somewhere where there’s not a lot of sun then you will most likely need to go with windmills.

No matter which one you use, you should be able to build your renewable electricity generator for less than $200 which is an amazing deal when you think about how much cash you will be saving on your electric bill month after month. And if you are able to make excess power you can actually sell the extra stuff back to the electric company and make a profit!

It’s understandable if this all sounds “too good to be true” but the reassuring thing is that the Earth4Energy guide is 100% satisfaction guaranteed with a 60 day full money back period for refunds which means if you try it out and you’re not totally pleased with it, you can easily get your cash back in your hands.

You really have nothing to lose by trying it out. On the other hand, you have plenty to gain. You will be doing your part to stop global warming (you’ll be “greener” than Al Gore!) and you’ll also be saving yourself a lot of cash.

Passive solar energy is the sun’s energy accepted without resistance…or assistance. Passive solar energy requires no moving parts. Although fans are sometimes used in passive solar homes for even distribution of the air, they’re not required. Nor are pumps, mechanical or other electrical elements including in the design. Even the fans that are sometimes used in passive solar homes are generally solar powered.

No solar panels or other photovoltaics are required for passive solar energy. The design elements of a passive solar home generally include large south-facing windows to collect solar energy. As the sun’s energy is collected it passes through to some type of thermal mass, often concrete, tile brick, or stone, and sometimes even water. The thermal mass will hold and then dissipate the heat when the sun goes down for the day, or when it’s a cloudy, rainy day. During the summer roof overhangs and awnings work passively to reject the summer heat and maintain the building’s coolness.

By calculating the best use of the sun’s energy, the Greeks and the Romans created the first passive solar energy designs for their homes…a design still very much in use today.

Taking advantage of passive solar design made sense then, and it makes even greater sense now. Driven by diminishing wood supplies, upon which they had relied greatly for heat, the Greeks and Romans began to design passive solar energy homes to reduce their reliance on wood for heating. We can certainly learn and take advantage of what they discovered, and allow it to help us eliminate or supplement our need for non-renewable energy sources.

Maintaining an even temperature throughout a building, most homeowners consider passive solar heating designs to be cleaner and more comfortable than conventional furnaces and air condition. And…it’s completely renewable, while at the same time emitting no greenhouse gases.

Passive solar hot water heaters are another way most passive solar home owners further decrease their energy bill, and their reliance on non-renewable resources. There are three basic types of passive solar water heaters: flat-plate, batch heaters, and evacuated tube heaters. Of these, batch heaters are the most prevalent and popular. Perhaps that is because batch heaters are fairly easy projects for the do-it-yourselfer. If you want to build your own, you’ll need to find an electric hot water tank…generally you can purchase either a salvaged one or find one that’s been disposed of in the dump. It will need to be thoroughly cleaned and sealed, and then painted black. Then, add new fittings and pipes to make sure you won’t have leaks later on. Construct a well-insulated plywood box, drill holes for the pipes to fit through, add aluminum foil or other metal for a reflectant, and place the tank inside, fitting the pipes through the holes. Cover the front of the box with glass or plexiglass, seal it, add water, and you’re ready go to. You may want a more detailed explanation, and there are a variety of plans available, but those are the basics.

You can also use a batch, or what is sometimes also referred to as a breadbox heater, with a staged design system. Using more than one encased heater, you can place them in different areas around your home. This allows you to take advantage of the sun’s various angles to obtain the most heat from the sun’s hottest rays. Other passive hot water systems, including flat plate and evacuated tube are also used in solar passive homes. However, they aren’t always as effective, and their designs are more compatible with professional installation.

You probably already got it by now…there are lots of pros to going solar. And here are a few more to add to it. Solar energy isn’t going to cause headlines when it spills out into the ocean and creates miles and miles of oil slick, and changes the whole balance of nature for years. It isn’t going to create headlines when it collapses and buries dozens of miners far below the ground. Using sunshine for energy isn’t going to destroy businesses, or damage our fragile environmental ecosystem. Nor does solar energy create smog, or acid rain.

When you really stop and think about it, there are so many “pros” to solar energy, it’s hard to accept the fact that it’s taken us this long to discover…or rediscover…how to receive and use the sun’s energy without resistance.

Described by former CIA Director James Woolsey: “A plug-in hybrid is an electric car with an insurance policy – a gas engine.” No better description can I find than that. A solar powered hybrid is a vehicle that relies primarily on solar powered electricity. However, to supplement and ensure operation, most also have a gas engine that kicks in under certain pre-specified conditions, or when the battery is depleted.

You’ll find two basic types of hybrids on the market today, the PHEV or plug-in hybrid, and the basic hybrid. Both have gas engine back-ups. So their primary distinction comes from the two different types of batteries used. The PHEV has a solar rechargeable battery with about 10 times the capacity of the standard hybrid. The standard hybrid has a smaller battery, and it recharges in conjunction with an electric motor and the gas engine when the vehicle is in operation. The battery for the PHEV can be plugged into any electrical outlet…regardless of whether the power is solar, or conventional.

Soon, the advances in battery capacity will allow individuals, families and commercial drivers of large vehicles, to make the jump to full solar powered cars with zero emissions. Solar panels on roofs are going up in conjunction with the need for recharging solar cars, and many homeowners are then adding the rest of the system to power their homes. However, hybrids, with their combination electric and gas engines are still providing the long-distance solution for vehicles that need to do more than make the quick commute back and forth to the grocery store or work before recharging.

If each of us were to closely examine the environmental damage done by fossil fuel usage, and add it to how much it costs us to drive our vehicles every day, we would all have either solar powered, or solar powered hybrids parked in our garages and driveways when we arrived home every day.

Solar power for vehicles, and other energy needs, absent entrenched economic interests and politics, would be in a different place than it is today.

The electric hybrid, or a solar powered hybrid car is, for the moment, the best option available for driving longer distances — an electric car that runs clean and efficiently with less pollution, with a back-up system to ensure operation at all times.

The Kelly Book is widely used for vehicle reference, both in what’s available and what the value of a vehicle is. For 2010 and 2011, here’s what they show as available hybrid models in the United States:

-	Toyota Prius
-	Honda Insight
-	Toyota Camry
-	Ford Fusion
-	Honda Civic
-	Toyota Highlander
-	Ford Escape
-	Lexus, various hybrid models: RX & GS 450h, HS 250h, LS 600h
-	Nissan Altima
-	Mercedes-Benz S-Class & ML-Class
-	Cadillac Escalade
-	Chevrolet Tahoe
-	Mercury Mariner & Milan
-	BMW X6
-	Chevrolet Malibu
-	GMC Yukon
-	Saturn VUE and Aura
-	Chevrolet Silverado (pick-up) 1500
-	GMC Sierra (pick-up) 1500 Crew Cab

Their “top green cars for 2010″ list sites the following hybrids (in reverse order):

*	2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid
*	2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
*	2010 Ford Escape Hybrid
*	2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid
*	2010 Honda Insight (hybrid)
*	2010 Toyota Prius (hybrid)

Change isn’t easy for very many of us. It’s up to us, though, if we really want to embrace the move to solar energy, and solar powered cars, to take action. With all of the political pressure there is by industry lobbyists, we need to apply an even greater amount of pressure collectively by contacting our representatives, and insisting they support the kinds of incentives that will move solar energy to parity or beyond, in order to quickly and efficiently decimate our dependence on fossil fuels…for our vehicles and for our homes.

Purchasing a hybrid or solar powered vehicle can be a big and important step in reducing our carbon footprint. With the dual option of an on-the-grid plug in (electricity from your utility company), or an off-the-grid plug in (electricity from your own solar panels), you can make a highly responsible, cost-effective choice.
